Message to Clients
Through my experience as an attorney, I have come to strongly believe that the best approach to resolving disputes is to (1) determine a course of action, (2) establish a clear path, and (3) take action as early as possible. In legal disputes, an attorney can assist you at each of these stages to ensure the process moves forward smoothly.
Our law office has a low threshold for consultations. Based on the details you share with us, we will candidly explain the possible courses of action, paths, and prospects. Once you retain our services, we will promptly begin working toward resolving your dispute.
Some of you may be hesitant about seeking legal advice, wondering whether your issue constitutes a legal dispute or whether it is even worth consulting a lawyer about. However, it is perfectly natural that you may not be able to determine on your own whether your matter requires legal consultation, so there is no need to worry. In such cases as well, please consult with us, the legal professionals, first. We hope that after hearing our explanation, you will feel reassured.
About Me
I am Yu Yotsumoto, Attorney at Law.
I was born in Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture, lived in Kyoto City until partway through elementary school, then moved to Moriyama City, Shiga Prefecture, where I lived until graduating from high school.
I commuted from Shiga Prefecture to Todaiji Gakuen Junior and Senior High School in Nara Prefecture. After graduation, I enrolled in the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo, completed its Law School program, passed the bar examination, and became an attorney.
At the beginning of my legal career, I worked at a mid-sized law firm in Tokyo, where I was involved in a wide variety of cases, including not only corporate legal affairs but also general civil matters such as real estate, divorce, and inheritance cases. Subsequently, having developed an interest in regional revitalization and local government affairs, I served as a fixed-term public servant at the Kanoya City Hall in Kagoshima Prefecture for two years from July 2016, handling legal affairs within the municipal government.
During these two years, I was deeply involved in work closely connected to the daily lives of local residents. I found it extremely rewarding to see the local community members smile and express their gratitude when I wholeheartedly supported them through my legal work. This experience instilled in me a strong desire to pursue a career direction that contributes to the security of the daily lives and business operations of local residents and business operators.
In July 2018, I joined our corporation's Yaizu General Law Office in Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, which provides legal services to the local community as a community-based law firm. After honing my skills there, in January 2020, together with Attorney Beppu and Attorney Mihara, I established Yaizu Legal Commons, a professional corporation. Thereafter, to contribute to the lives and businesses of residents in the southern Shiga Prefecture area, which is my hometown, I opened the Ritto Konan Law Office as a branch office next to the Ritto City Hall.
My strengths as an attorney are my youthful vitality (I also place great importance on the speed of my responses), my approachability, and my passion for my work (my wholeheartedness). Naturally, I will continue to strive to improve the quality of my legal practice.
Going forward, I hope to continue supporting the lives and businesses of the people in the southern Shiga Prefecture area, centered on Ritto City and Konan City, and to contribute to the revitalization of Japan through the development of the local community.

Many of you viewing this page are likely here because you are experiencing some kind of (legal) problem, feeling anxious, and looking to consult with an attorney.
I have provided counsel to and worked together with people facing (legal) problems that anyone could encounter in daily life, including relationship/divorce and family issues, inheritance/succession matters, traffic accidents, workplace disputes, loans from friends, problems at children's schools, and criminal cases.
From these experiences, I have come to believe that even problems that may appear similar on the surface differ individually in their causes and severity, and that resolving them requires a thorough understanding of the facts and appropriate action tailored to the specific circumstances.
And regardless of the type of (legal) problem, one thing is universally true: the earlier you consult with an attorney, the less emotional burden you will have to bear.
Our office has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, so if you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us for a consultation.
About Me
My name is Hiroyuki Beppu, Attorney at Law. After graduating from Kyoto University, I worked at Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. for over six years. During that time, I studied Malaysian culture and related subjects for one year at the National University of Malaysia (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia) as a company-sponsored exchange student.
Subsequently, I studied law at the Waseda University Law School, passed the bar examination, and became an attorney.
At the beginning of my legal career, I worked at a major law firm in Tokyo handling corporate legal affairs. Since transferring to a firm in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture in November 2014, I have primarily handled general civil cases related to the daily lives of citizens, such as divorce, inheritance, and traffic accidents. I am therefore able to provide precise advice on a wide range of legal issues for both corporations and individuals.
In September 2016, I opened the first law (attorney's) office in Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
As an attorney, I aspire to contribute to the peace and well-being of the local community by leveraging my experience to date.
